In UIL Regional Solo and Ensemble competition on Saturday various individual solo and ensemble members brought home 33 1st Division, Superior medals. Those making 1st Divisions on solos were: Ben Parrish on flute Lauren Boecker on French horn Stephen Yates and Carlos Perez  on trombone Cody Bruner on tuba Sam Parker on mallets, and Benton Roe on  piano Two brass ensembles and the percussion ensemble also received 1st Divisions: Jordan Hamilton , Daron Stone, Lauren Boecker, Stephen Yates, Bryce Billingsley, and Cody Bruner in one brass enemble. JT Carter, Amanda Holt, Jennifer McGruder, Eli Basden, Candice McGruder, and Josh Jennings in the other brass ensemble. Class A and AA Band Concert and Sight Reading Contest next Wednesday and Thursday, March 4th and 5th, 2009. Most of these students will be out of class all day both days.
