G-FORCE BAND - PERMISSION TO RIDE HOME

NAME OF PARENT PICKING UP STUDENT                                                                 

 

GISD Band policy states that after a band activity, students may be released only after they and a parent have filled out, signed and returned this permission form.  This form is due no later than the day of the activity prior to the band’s departure.

 

The following is our procedure to release students after a band activity:

1. The band will proceed to the school buses.

2. The parent picking up the student will come to the bus to get him/her.

3. Students will change and put up equipment.   

4. Students not returning on the bus are responsible for getting one of their friends to put away his/her instrument and equipment when we arrive home.

5. Students will be released to the parent named above after he/she has changed and put up equipment. A release form must have been signed and turned in for the trip before the band left GHS.

6. Parents must check the student out with the director on his/her bus.

 

The following is our procedure to release students in case of rain at a band activity: 

1. The band will proceed to the school buses.

2. The parent picking up the student must come immediately to the bus when the band leaves the stands.

3. Students will change and put up equipment.   

4. Students not returning on the bus are responsible for getting one of their friends to put away his/her instrument and equipment when we arrive home.

5. Students will be released to the parent named above after he/she has changed and put up equipment. A release form must have been signed and turned in for the trip before the band left GHS

6. Parents must check the student out with the director on his/her bus.     

 

**The band will leave when loaded and ready to go** 

***Students not released to the parent named above will go home with the band***

 

We have read and understand the rules and procedures for riding home after a band activity and agree to follow them.  We understand that if the rules and procedures are not followed, the student can lose riding home privileges.
